Chinoiserie Screens

A well-placed screen or room divider can really add A LOT to a room - height, pattern, dimension. All good things. And, of course, my favorite variety of room screens are Chinoiserie ones. A fabulous Chinoiserie screen in a large corner of a room (perhaps behind a chair) or behind a bed as a headboard is such a fantastic look.

And boy do I have an AMAZING sampling of screens for your consideration - all around $350-$400:

Fantastic...right?? The second and third options are dead ringers for de Gournay. These are all by furniture manufacturer Wayborn. I really wanted one, though I have nowhere to put it. And then I couldn't make up my mind which one I wanted more. So, I figured I'd blog about it which is always second best to buying something. I think the price of these pieces is pretty good too, considering their detail and size.

Anyone own one of these? Would love to hear about it!

  4. I love the second one - very muted and soft lovely colours! I would love to have one but I don't know how to style a room with one. Would love some ideas of how to style a space with them.
