Catalog Pick: Merletto Rug

I have been sourcing many things for clients recently and Ballard Designs is always a go-to when I think a catalog purchase might do the trick.

A recent perusal reacquainted me with the Merletto Rug that has grabbed my attention in the past:

The green tones are spectacular! And you know how I would love to use this? In a super-preppy pink and green beach house situation. Like a pink sofa with white piping with green-striped pillows. I think that would be devastatingly attractive.

Although under other circumstances green is not at the top of my list for colors, in decorating, I find that it is my favorite color. And I love it in big, strong doses.

Do you like this pick? How would you use it?

Decorative Carpets on OKL

Have you checked out the Decorative Carpets sale going on right now over on One Kings Lane? These small accent rugs are like art prints! Couldn't you imagine one printed up on paper and hung in a lovely frame? They are fabulous!

The selection is HUGE and these rugs would make the perfect little accent in a room - lots of personality.

The sale ends soon, but if you are still interested check out the Decorative Carpets website - lots of eye candy. Including this example:

Where can I get that coffee table?! And those dining chairs! And that lamp is as tall as me!

Catalog Pick: Aztec Rug from Land of Nod

Savvy interior decor shoppers (like us) know that children's catalogs can be a great resource for finding accessories for the home - rugs, lamps, storage, even bedding. We have figured out that there are no Catalog Police that come to your door to make sure that lamp you bought is indeed going into your daughter's bedroom.

Land of Nod has become a recent favorite - they have some outstanding rugs that have caught my eye including this fun Aztec Rug:

Available in blue or purple,  this rug definitely has a youthful appearance, though I think the blue could work well in a casual family den. I really love the pattern and the mix of colors - both are great options for a bright family home.

Do you have a favorite kids' catalog that you like to peruse?
