The Pink Pagoda

I have another web design project to share with you - this time from a client that many of you probably love! I had the pleasure of recently working with Jennifer of Etsy shop The Pink Pagoda to create a logo, website, web ads, and a blog. With Jennifer's love of Chinoiserie, color and whimsical graphics, this was a dream project.

It started with the logo, which was a nice collaboration between the two of us:

And then it moved on to a jazzy website design that steps outside the box a bit as far as traditional web layouts, but still maintains a simple, entertaining experience for the user. Jennifer wanted a little spot on the web where people could learn about her and her products, while also directing users to her shop and her blog.

Jennifer also wanted to write a blog as a companion to her shop to showcase her love of interiors, graphics, Chinoiserie, etc. And it's a great read!

And finally, as part of her new look, Jennifer wanted to expand her advertising on other blogs, so she asked me to create a couple of web ads she could use across blogland to market her business.

I wish I could take credit for the look of The Pink Pagoda's branding, but the amazing Chinoiserie illustrations are all Jennifer's doing. And with such cool graphics, anything looks great!

Heather Safferstone

I am so excited to share this web design project today! You may remember a little post I did about Heather a while back...she's a lovely design talent working as an Associate Designer at Sally Steponkus Interiors here in DC.

I was thrilled when Heather asked if I could design a snazzy portfolio website so she could have a place to send potential clients to view her past and current work. I'm happy to say our project is complete and I think it looks terrific.

I love Heather's crisp, tailored aesthetic and her use of color. Her spaces always feel bright, open, and inviting. Check out some of my favorites:

Brilliant Chic (Blog Design)

Friends and Romans, I designed a blog recently and I think you want to see it because it has zebras plastered all over it in a very chic way.

Check out what I did for Jennifer and her blog Brilliant Chic:

I love that Jennifer let me go out on a limb here...and we had fun picking a sweet color scheme. Very brilliant. Very chic. She writes about design, so make sure to check out her blog!

Let me know if you're in the market for a snazzy blog design of your own.

A Blog Design

I usually don't share my web design on the blog, but I work on some pretty fun projects. I get to design and play with color all day long, both at my day job and with occasional freelance work. I love what I do. I'm a lucky girl.

Thought I would share a very recent blog design that you will likely enjoy since you dig interior design blogs. I had the pleasure of working with Jenny of Jenny Castle Design on a little graphic facelift for her slice of the internet.

Jenny is located in the DC area and writes a great blog, as well as runs her own interior design company. Click here to visit her blog.

You might have also seen my design handiwork on Chinoiserie Chic and Kelly Green. Like I said, I love what I do!
