Mirrors: Urban Outfitters Edition

Urban Outfitters is bringing a strong mirror game at the moment. Behold three great options with delightful price tags.

1) Taj Wall Mirror - $64

Who doesn't need a Moroccan mirror? That is a serious question. And this is a serious option. I actually haven't seen something exactly like this at a luxe price tag. A powder room would love this mirror as would a little girl's bedroom. For that price, I want to buy it and squirrel it away.

2) Edith Mirror Shelf - $79

Every budget bathroom renovation in America needs this mirror. It is so ridiculously chic and functional with that shelf. Might be a tad small but I would make it work.

3) Pipe Standing Mirror - $189

I have found myself looking for or needing a floor mirror on many occasions - they are so useful in a bedroom. And the typical options (search cheval mirror) are incredibly lacking. Your best bet is to find something vintage with some character. Which is hard. But this one is sleek and lovely with a touch of cool.

4) Umbra Oversized Hub Mirror - $160

Love the black border and oversized scale. The scale is what makes it special and it's the perfect way to take up a big chunk of wall.

I haven't bought something recently from UO but I'm always finding cool things...it's a great option for finding that one trendy piece to help your room along. And since they cater to the college crowd, prices are affordable.

Tufted Velvet Headboards

I'm a strong proponent of the tufted velvet headboard. I think if your headboard has a bit of drama, it can carry the room and you can relax on other elements. And a headboard is often a budget-friendly option, as opposed to a full bed, that allows for a creative bedskirt.

My favorite selection of TVHs is currently at Urban Outfitters. I l-o-v-e the color options!

I think they even have a couple more colors that I did not include. I genuinely think I would be happy with any of these. I think the scale is just right. Aaaand, the price ain't bad - 350 bones. Not cheap, but affordable. And this particular silhouette is difficult to DIY with its curves and tuftedness.

Do you like this type of headboard? Or do you prefer a full bed?

Snug as a Bug

Say hello to this rug.

LOVE it. It's a wee one - only 2'x3' - but it's also only 10 bones, currently available online in Urban Outfitters' sale section. The freeform chevron pattern is terrific, and I adore the color scheme. This would be the perfect little accent in a doorway, or perhaps in a bathroom or kitchen. Oh, the possibilities (and did I mention it's only $10??)

Also in the sale section are these little flat-woven numbers, coming in at $49.99 for 5'x7' goodness - not bad.

Definite 80s vibe with the color palette, and I think those black scribbles are cool.

We've seen various versions of black/white striped rugs everywhere, and I think this is a great take on that classic - the various color shades and stripes almost create a hyperactive marbled effect.

I could see this being very chic in a young man's apartment....or in an artsy, modern space. Also the perfect juxtaposition if you're looking for a little touch of modern in a classic or traditional room.
