Friday Crush

These adorable cocktail napkins from Biscuit Home caught my eye this week. Wedding season is fast approaching and this would be a sweet gift coupled with some barware for your favorite couple. Can we agree that scallops make everything better?

Hope you have some fun plans for the weekend...mine will include not wearing boots. So sad. Happy weekend...see you next week!

Cabbage Ware Tablesetting

Unfortunately for me, Spring has sprung with 70 degree temps in February. Hot weather is fast approaching. But ever the optimist, I will look on the bright side that fresh, bright table settings are on the horizon.

Like this one from Katie Armour's IG. That cabbage ware is richly hued and vibrantly textural. And I love the dimension of the scalloped edges. Especially paired with that block print to create my perfect color combination of green and orchidy-lavender...a dream.

This is perfect for Easter, yes? I have pined for cabbage plates for many years but have held back because storage. But if you want to start a collection this Spring check out eBay and Etsy...two good sources.

Friday Crush

Look at this adorable Washington D.C. print from Etsy artist AmandaCBee. Perfect for District lovers and residents. Also available for Annapolis, Baltimore, and Charleston. I was introduced to this artist by a very stylish friend and have enjoyed keeping my eye on this shop - it's chock full of pretty, preppy art.

Do you have a long weekend ahead? I am committed to getting some chores done this weekend...all of those things that were on my to-do list for early 2017...should probably get going on them. Have a fab weekend - see you next week!

Catalog Pick: Cooper Dresser and Nightstand

I'll leave these here for you today:

The Cooper dresser and nightstand from Pier 1. In a rich pecan wood finish, with angular, simple lines, and delightful touches of brass. A bit of Campaign flair...but not. I am quite into them...what do you think??

Almost the weekend...

Friday Crush

Photo by Justin Coit via dwell

I can't, and won't, quit the idea of an eventual mountain house for the Shufflers. And when we have said house, I imagine the kitchen to share space with a dining table that looks like this. Love the bleached floors here...and the long, cool, marble-y dining table with warm wood contrasting chairs. All set off with those green lanterns...whose color I might have picked up in those side chairs instead of black/white stripe, but, details. This is pretty. Love the moments of darkness amid all the light.

Speaking of mountains, that's where we are headed for the weekend...except instead of a snowy wonderland, we'll be frolicking in 60 degree temps 😒. I have been robbed of cold weather and snow this winter. Hope your weekend is wintry and delightful...see you next week!

Quadrille Macao Nursery by Madre

Very happy to make the acquaintance of the Madre Instagram account. And this nursery. It showcases one of my all-time, all-time favorite fabrics - Macao from Quadrille. Set atop spotted wallpaper and peachy-pink baseboard (and I'll assume molding?) this nursery is incredibly fantastic. I'm also in love with the lavender trim on that crib bumper. 🙌

Meanwhile, the designing women at Madre have some charming design chops...those in Dallas may want to inquire.
