Katie Rosenfeld NYC

It's been a while since I've written about one of my favorite designers - Katie Rosenfeld - and, boy, do I have a doozy for you today.

Check out this maximalist New York City apartment...Katie and her client did not hold back and the results are stunning.

My personal favorite space is the bedroom featuring Les Touches with that punctuation of spring green. But every space is thrilling to look at with hearty doses of Chinoiserie and color.

Check out the full apartment here, along with some notes on the design from Katie...

Studio Apartment Design from Katie Rosenfeld

Decided to check in on one of my favorite designers - Katie Rosenfeld - and the new-to-me images in her portfolio did NOT disappoint.

Like this phenomenal studio apartment. Would have been a dream to live in a space like this when I was single and fancy-free.

I love the creativity that goes into a small space - using every nook and cranny to make a space feel vibrant and bigger in personality than its square footage suggests.

The Vase wallpaper in a small kitchen is brilliant. And the freedom of a small space is you can splurge on that expensive paper because you don't have much wall to cover!

So much inspiration here...Katie is a master in deliciously vibrant and warm spaces. She owns color and nothing she designs ever feels stuffy.

Check out more of her work here...

Friday Crush

Photo by Michael J. Lee Photography via Houzz

What a fun jumble of colors in this living room from Katie Rosenfeld. So cheery - how could you not have a smile on your face sitting in this room? Great color and a wonderful layered mix of pattern and texture - Katie is a master.

Tune in Monday as I continue the tour! Next up is the family room (aka the basement reno)...

Have a great weekend! See you Monday!

Friday Crush

A glorious bedroom from Katie Rosenfeld. L-O-V-E everything Katie touches and this space is no exception. The Chinoiserie bed is obvious perfection and that lavender Chesterfield sofa is beyond words. But my favorite...my FAVORITE...is the color of those lamps. Wow...like a creamy celadon. And notice that this room is so layered in its colors, pattern and accessories that the need for wall art is non-existent.

Hope you have a fantastic weekend...see you next week!

Aqua Jade Dining Room from Katie Rosenfeld

Katie Rosenfeld is a major design talent. Remember this crazy-amazing blue/green vignette? That image is seared into my brain. I have recently found another room by Katie that is now permanently downloaded into my brain.

This dining room:

What color is that on the walls? I work in colors all day long, and I'm having trouble naming it. The best I could come up with is Aqua Jade. It's not green enough for true jade, but too green for a traditional aqua. And it's not turquoise.

Look at that wood floor in the second picture. And isn't the painting in the hallway in the first picture the perfect prologue to the room? I absolutely love Katie's saturated color choices, all set off with lots of beautiful white molding.

Fantastic design.

Katie Rosenfeld

I have been walking around with the above image as the background wallpaper of my phone since I saw it on Chinoiserie Chic. I am so enthralled with it that I need to look at it every two point five seconds (the obsessive frequency with which I check my phone).

New England-based Katie Rosenfeld is the mastermind behind this space and I am so thankful to Beth for introducing me to her STUNNING Chinoserie-influenced interiors. Katie Rosenfeld knows what she is doing.

If you would like to start your week completely motivated, inspired, and excited about life, then you need to take a moment and peruse Katie's portfolio.  Some of my favorites:
