Vintage Nursery Dresser

So now that you're in on my news, I can share some of the cool pieces we've scored for the nursery. I knew I wanted a vintage dresser to store baby's wee clothes, so I was on the lookout almost from day one (I know this doesn't surprise you).

It took a while, but Craigslist finally came through with this awesome bamboo dresser for $75. Yes, please!

The dimensions are perfect and I really loved the detailing and the fun hardware. The paint job isn't very good, so it will definitely be getting a new coat of paint...but I haven't decided the color yet. It's pretty heavy, well-made (from Broyhill) and nice and clean inside the drawers so I was thrilled with the find. I know this baby has excellent taste so she/he will love it too!

Fantastic find. Old Craig really came through with his list. Those old Broyhill/Thomasville faux bamboo pieces never go out of style. When baby gets older, you'll find you can paint this and it'll take on a fresh look for another room as a credenza. In western Kentucky, all Craigslist offers are deer antlers, brown & gold plaid couches, and "a dirtbike for my exes wedding rings"... again, fantastic baby news!

  5. I found a very similar dresser but they wanted $150 for it and wouldn't budge with the price. Booo! Oh well, I'm sure I'll find something soon.
