Flamestitch Walls

Image from here via La Dolce Vita via New Ravenna

When I grow up, I want a really glam powder room done in pastels and metallics. Remember this one? The flamestitch pattern above was done with tile. I'm overwhelmed at that concept. The result is so incredibly gorgeous. I wonder how easy it would be to install? Honestly, this look would overwhelm in my house...but one day, when my house is a bit more sophisticated in its aesthetic, this is exactly what I want!

I'm also currently OBSESSED with the mix of pastels and metallics. Is that a throwback to the 80s? I don't know, but I can't get enough of the combination.

What are you currently going mad over?

  1. I cannot believe that was done with tile! This has me wondering what other of our favorite patterns can be done with tile? I'm a huge pastel and metallic fan too...obviously with a modern look though!

  2. I'm currently obsessed with the watercolor wallpapers from Black Crow Studios. I can't get over them. I want them everywhere.

Imagine my surprise and delight when out of the corner of my eye on my iGoogle home page ( with auto feed of AESTHETIC OISEAU of course,) I see our Loom! I am the marketing director for New Ravenna Mosaics the company that creates this glass mosaic. Ummmm by the way it can so be customized to include why I don't know maybe, Orange!? Our Sardonyx glass is gaining popularity with us lately! Thank you! Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you! Christine Campbell, newravenna.com
