E. Svachian

Well, these are fun:





Vintage watercolors by artist E. Svachian who worked in Tehran in the 50s and 60s, per One Kings Lane where I found these colorful little works. I just LOVE the color combinations! These would be so chic as a set in a really modern space.

Unfortunately, I'm late to the game as only the first two (my favorite) are available here and here. Or Google "E. Svachian" and see what else the internet has to offer by this whimsical artist who obviously picked up on the beauty around him.

  1. You are right! The colors are so lush, and they remind me of my favorite fabric..Brunschwig's Le Lac, which combines all of them, except maybe the light blue.
    I'll have to go upstairs and check my curtains:-)
