Note the Greek key trim and the fantastic hue of red she is sporting. She would be perfect to harmonize red accents in a space. Not to mention the dose of happy she would bestow.
So what I'm saying is, I love her. Kitsch or no.

When I was in Southeast Asia for work several years ago, I saw so many pieces similar to this that I started to think of it all as tacky kitsch. Then I got wise and started to think about how one or two pieces might look in my house, rather than shoved in between a bunch of other "tackiness." Thank goodness I didn't leave Asia without some delightful finds to help me remember my time there!
